Laser welding facility for door hinges
This itec laser welding system was developed specially for automatic joining and welding of frame and leaf hinges made of structural steel. A 3.6 kW CO2 laser is used as the beam source. A special feature of this system: It can weld on alternative sides!
Based on the vmax G laser system portal, a laser welding system has been developed for this specific task which enables loading and unloading to be performed parallel to primary processing time as well as welding frame and leaf parts with a cycle time of 5 sec.
The parts are fed into the system as bulk goods via parts containers, sorted, aligned and pre-assembled. The welding clamp is designed as a shuttle and is loaded by two robots. The finished welded components are placed automatically on conveyor belts and transported away from the machine.
